Watermelon Mountain Pony Club is an affiliate of US Pony Clubs. As a club, we’re committed to horsemanship, leadership, and character. We adhere to the US Pony Clubs mission:
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.

About Watermelon Mountain:
Watermelon Mountain is a volunteer and parent-run club. We host mounted meetings at least once monthly, as well as horse management (unmounted) meetings once a month. We are also the organizers of the Watermelon Mountain Horse Trials, and we manage the cross country course at Boca Negra Horsemen’s Complex on Albuquerque’s west side. Our membership includes beginners through advanced riders in all disciplines, and we are also part of the US Pony Club’s Western Pilot Program.
